At Open Gate Horse Ventures, every decision reflects our standards. Choosing Rodolphe Brisset as our trainer was no exception.
Rodolphe represents a rare balance of classical horsemanship and modern performance strategy. Educated at France’s elite racing academy and shaped by years under Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott, his foundation is built on patience, discipline, and an uncompromising respect for the horse.
Since establishing his own stable, Rodolphe has earned a reputation for developing sound, competitive Thoroughbreds capable of performing on racing’s biggest stages, from graded stakes victories to championship-level competition. His approach is deliberate, thoughtful, and proven.

The OG Stable
2024
After a year of research, relationship building, and disciplined preparation, Open Gate Horse Ventures officially entered the racing arena in September 2024. We began by acquiring ownership in four yearlings at Keeneland: Miss You Mo, City Is Mine, Bend My Ear, and Bodacious Bay.
These first acquisitions were intentional. They reflected patience, long term belief, and our commitment to building from the ground up. This was not an entrance driven by impulse. It was a deliberate beginning.
2025
With a foundation in place, we expanded with precision. At the OBS Sale in Ocala, Florida, we secured three two year olds in training: Kingsolver, Holly By Golly, and Clocker Special. These horses brought immediate athleticism and competitive readiness to complement our developing yearlings.
We then returned to Keeneland again to acquire two additional yearlings, Caffeine Fix and Windsock, reinforcing our long term strategy and deepening the strength of our stable.
